Happy New Quilt To Us!

Kirk and I got a new quilt for our bed! I'm So excited. I was given the lovely 90's quilt pictured below when I graduated from high school in 1997. It was our tradition in young womens to make a quilt for all the graduating seniors. I have had this with me for the last 12 years. It has been with me to college, and home for the summers, and on our bed for the first 3 1/2 years of our marriage. I have loved it and it has been my comfort. But I am ready for a new one!

Ta Da!! I really love this quilt. We got it at target. We obviously have a pillow situation.. but one thing at a time right? Someday we will have beautiful pillows to go with it. But for now I'm so excited that it actually hangs lower than 3 inches over the sides of the bed! Yay!

I would have to say I love it especially since I have the same one draped on the end of my bed. Even though we have been married 6yrs the bedroom still has a ways to go for us. But it's getting there. I will post a picture on my blog of my room just for you. Ha ha!

Hooray for you! We only have 3 pillows on our bed - the 2 I sleep with and the one Ryan does - and that is all we will ever have. They are not pretty pillows either. We have each had our pillows for a long time. Ryan hates extra pillows on beds and sees no point in decorative pillows. Whenever we are guests at people's homes that have multiple pillows he complains about them. He would think your bed is perfect as is.

NICE. I love it! It's fun to have a dressed up bed. Curtis thinks our shams are pretty useless, but I sleep with 3 pillows and he needs one, so I'd say they are put to good use... right?!

I'm always impressed when people hold off and do one thing at a time. I have a hard time with that. I was just thinking last night that I would go buy myself new pillows. Maybe I should hold off...I mean, it's not an emergency.

Look how inspiring you are!

It's beautiful! We have been in our house for almost 5 years and we still don't have our bedroom done. Oh, well. We can always shut the door.

I remember those quilts! I finally got rid of mine because it had become so faded my mom convinced me to get rid of it. Mine was black and had red flowers that faded into a light purplish/gray with off-white flowers, but it was on my bed all through college!
